WELCOME

No matter what sub-genre is, rock / pop music has always been influenced by classical music. This page is trying to make a voyage among classical music compositions and composers which have inspired rock music in a way.

However we have some rules:

1. Only official pop / rock music compositions are included here and bootleg-kind-of live records from the audience are not. Jazz covers/samples are not included (as if it can be found where jazz starts; maybe later ! )

2. Adaptations of traditional / folk songs / hymns are not included because they are of different genres.

3. Covers of marches are not included, either.

Composers are ranked alphabetically, by their famous surnames.

When there are more than one rock / pop adaptation of a classical piece, they are ranked by release dates as much possible.

You are welcome to make any contribution to the page.

Enjoy.
